On Saturday, July 28th, the oldest Venetian tradition - the Venetian Boat Parade - was once again choreographed with stadium-effect fireworks.
77th ANNUAL VENETIAN BOAT PARADE RESULTS - 2007
A total of 12 boats participated with an overall theme of “Venetian on Broadway”
Small Boat Fleet (Less than 35 feet overall length)
- 1st Place – Entry # 2 - Megan B – “State of Readiness, Always Ready for Fun”, Biddick
- 2nd Place – Entry # 7 - Summer Semester – “New York City”, Giddens
- 3rd Place – Entry # 3 – Apothecary – "Our 68th Year in the Parade", Ochs
Large Boat Fleet (Greater than 35 feet overall length)
- 1st Place – Entry #12 – No Name – “The Great Divide 'MSU-VS-MICH'”, Kistka
- 2nd Place – Entry #11 – Dpolphin – “Michigan Motown and the Dreamgrils”, Tomkinson
- 3rd Place – Entry #9 – Dry Harbour - “Venetian Queens”, Boss c/o Dry Harbour
